The 10th is Official!
On May 2, 2013 Rhode Island officially became the 10th state to pass laws giving homosexual couples equal rights. With Rhode Island proudly touting the most Catholic State title, it was shocking how, unshocked we all were when Rhode Island finally jumped on board with the rest of New England and progressive America.
I’ve personally never seen equality happen so rapidly, after the end of a 16 year battle, with a majority vote passing in the House, the Senate and then the Govenor’s signature, all within the same week. Bravo Rhode Island!
Now with Rhode Island safely tucked away on the right side of history all eyes are on Deleware who will be voting on an equality bill on Tuesday May 7, 2013 and it’s looking hopeful!
